Traber,
I respectfully disagree with you on the Dez Bryan/Roy Williams issue. These guys are professionals. It is wrong for Roy William to conduct himself in any other way than as a professional. In any other industry in America, professionals would not degrade a new associate in that way. The rookies get friendly (and sometimes not so friendly) verbal bantering, and extra work/duties that help them learn their jobs. They are not the senior guys’ slaves or chumps. Expecting a guy to carry your shoulder pads for you is high school-ish. These guys are above that.
My high school coach told us that there is no hierarchy on the football field. Each player is equally important, whether new or a veteran. Recognizing each other’s importance builds respect and builds the “team” concept. Expecting someone to carry your shoulder pads for you focuses on the “me” concept. Roy Williams has been carrying (and wearing) his own shoulder pads for a while. It’s not going to hurt him to continue to do so. Focus on football and not on who is superior to who.
I love your show, but had to throw in my two cents worth…for what it’s worth.
